Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll (AHI) is committed to continually improving our services. That is why we voluntarily participate in accreditation with Accreditation Canada—to learn what we are doing well and where we can improve.
Accreditation Canada is a non-for-profit independent organization providing national and international health care organizations with an external peer review process. By having external surveyors assess our services against national standards, we are better able to focus our quality improvement efforts. Accreditation Canada's programs and guidance have helped organizations deliver quality health care for over sixty years.
Accreditation is a continually evolving process, which enables us to evaluate and refine the quality of our services through self-assessment and peer review. We continue to provide the best care and experience for our patients and staff. AHI and TDMH are committed to monitoring against Accreditation standards.
I am pleased to announce that Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll (AHI) has been Accredited with Commendation following our recent 2023 Qmentum Global On-Site Accreditation Canada Survey. Our Accreditation award decision is valid from February 28, 2023 to February 28, 2027.
Accredited with Commendation means both organizations surpassed the fundamental requirements of the Accreditation program.

I am proud of the continued Accreditation status of our hospitals. Thank you to all of our staff for your contribution and commitment to providing safe, high-quality health services each and every day. Everyone at AHI and TDMH are involved in Accreditation, from front-line staff, physicians, patient advisors, volunteers, and our Joint Board members.
We are all committed to quality and patient safety and improving upon that care. This achievement could not have happened without the hard work and dedication of everyone at AHI and TDMH.
