 Executive Assistant: 
•    Provide overall leadership of effective office procedures and efficient workflow for the administrative office. 
•    Reception and public/employee relations i.e. answers questions/complaints from the public and employees and directs them appropriately. 
•    Conduct research and compile data/reports as required
•    Provide Committee support, including preparation/distribution of agenda packages, recording of minutes and necessary follow-up from meetings. 
•    Maintain corporate records and ensures compliance with required legislation and best practices, i.e. corporate by-laws, policies and procedures. 
•    Information management, i.e. coordination of meetings, composition of internal/external communication, database management, filing. 
•    Provide support to the Chief of Staff, Director of Emergency Department and general Medical Staff. 
•    Complete accurate credentialing of all medical staff on application and reapplication yearly. 
•    Draft key communication tools, i.e. Report to Community, Newsletters and News Briefs. 

Coordinator of Volunteer Services:
•    Process volunteer and volunteen applications to determine acceptability and suitability. 
•    Plan and provide orientation of new volunteers to hospital and providing position specific training. 
•    Monitor performance and taking corrective action when required. 
•    Maintain computerized Volunteer Services Program – Volgistics. 
•    Recruit, select, orientate and schedule volunteers and volunteens.
•    Coordinate with team members to seamlessly implement the Volunteen Program. 
•    Assess the future needs of volunteer programs, organize position descriptions, ensure that the volunteer roles fall within the volunteer boundaries. 
•    Plan the Volunteer Program budget, which includes budget for recognition. 
•    Plan and implement the necessary volunteer training, recognition and education events. 
•    Develop and review policies and procedures related to volunteer program in the Medworxx program. 
•    Support volunteers in their duties and act as a resource person. 
•    Work collaboratively with the Volunteer Executive Committee to support the Volunteer Program and foster volunteer engagement.


•    Post-secondary diploma in related field.
•    Minimum of three (3) years of experience in volunteer coordination or providing administrative support at a senior level.
•    Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•    Knowledge of physician credentialing, preferably with Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry preferred.
•    Demonstrated ability to promote effective interpersonal relationships with team members within the hospital and community agencies. 
•    Knowledge in recruitment, screening, interviewing, training, orienting, volunteer recognition and risk management. 
•    Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. 
•    Self-directed, self-motivated, work independently and prioritize work situations. 
•    Proven advanced decision making and problem solving abilities. 
•    Attention to detail with high level of accuracy. 
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of patients and stakeholders. 
•    Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
•    Excellent decision-making, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills;
•    Excellent work ethic and positive attitude that demonstrates AH values
•    Knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety

Salary Range

$29.46 to $34.45 per hour (as per salary schedule).
