MEASLES - Important Information for Patients:
Do you suspect that you or a loved one has measles?
- Have you been in contact with some with measles in the last 21 days?
- Do you have a FEVER and one of the following symptoms?
- RASH
- Cough
- Runny nose
- Reddened eyes
- White spots inside of the mouth
If you answered yes to one or both of the above questions and you have only mild symptoms of measles and you DO NOT NEED emergency care:
- Stay home and isolate
- Contact Southwestern Public Health (SWPH) for advice on testing and next steps: 1-800-922-0096
If you NEED emergency care:
- Please call the hospital for guidance before coming to the hospital so we can take the right precautions to prevent the spread of measles. A team member will guide you through what to do.
