Government mask mandates effecting hospitals and public transit services are set to expire in Ontario on June 11, 2022. Hospitals in the Southwest Region including AHI and TDMH have decided collectively to continue with the masking mandate.
“Our priority continues to be keeping our patients, staff and visitors safe,” says Nadia Facca, President and Chief Executive Officer. “We provide acute care for patients at their most vulnerable times and therefore will continue with universal masking. It is the right thing to do, and we appreciate the support of our community in helping us to keep everyone safe.”
AHI and TDMH mask mandate applies to all members of our teams: all staff, physicians, affiliates, visitors, volunteers, contractors/vendors, patients and their families. In addition to continue to require masking, active screening of all individuals entering our facilities will be maintained. Proof of vaccination is no longer required for visitors to enter the facility. New signs will be posted at our hospitals reminding visitors of the requirement for masking.
